A Link Between Autism and Cannabinoids

I have a new post up at Rockford For Safe Access discussing the scientific and anecdotal evidence between autism and the body's endocannabinoid system. It includes a number of videos about treating autistic children with cannabis.

Can't see anywhere to post something off topic, but..
On WUWT you left a comment about the Atkins diet. A little history, it is known that Atkins based his diet on a paper published by a UK doctor called Mackerness (not sure I've spelled that correctly), who later wrote a book called "Eat Fat Grow Slim", it is the forerunner to the Atkins diet and was based on research of history and also real world diets such as the Inuit when on the ice and eating nothing but protein and up to one third fat.

Mackerness's diet, was put into action in a number of US hospitals after he moved to the USA and each diet was tailored to the individual and expected to be spread over two years and was known to be universally effective.

Atkins took the diet and published his version of it which of course was a more extreme version designed to produce faster results.

The Mackerness diet works, and interestingly produces a sense of well being, you don't need to be overweight to go on it, it is based on the diet we evolved on, that of hunter gatherer.

It is a remarkable book if you can find one, a long time out of print now, it was in print perhaps 40 years ago.
