Krugman Gets It

Economist Paul Krugman gets it.

The ascendancy of modern conservatism is “an almost embarrassingly simple story,” he says, and race is the key.
Yep. I think that perfectly explains Republican Bobby Jindal's win in Louisiana. Krugman is a genius.

When Krugman said 'race' I think he meant the Tour de France. - And he expects Pee Wee Herman to win it.

Thanks for the visit, your comment and the links. - PRY

Well, there is the fact that the Democrats have driven a lot of white men from their party.

Somehow, I don't think Krugman has even noticed that, though.

"Krugman is a genius."

Of course, by definition. He is a liberal who writes for the NYT.

Just read the NYT. It is all explained there.

I like that. It should inspire their new marketing slogan. Something like: "If you just release your mind it will all make sense." It is somewhat nicer than their alternative slogan: "Why aren't you people reading us damn it?!?!"

The Democrats need minorities to be seen (and to see themselves) as failures and whites to feel guilty about it. When that view of the world evaporates the Dems risk being judged on the merits of their platform.
