The Truth Will Be Worth More and Cost Less

We are entering a new era in journalism. Uncharted territory. The truth is becoming more valuable as it also costs less. We saw this in the case of digital recording. As the capabilities went from 8 to 16 bits at much lower cost the improved fidelity (along with reduced reproduction costs) increased the value of the content (have to have it everywhere) while at the same time driving the costs to aproximately zero. You can't make money selling music any more. You can't make money selling news.

The bottom has just fallen out.

Short the old media. Pronto.

So the question is how do you make it profitable to run an independent publishing company? I have some ideas on that which I will be writing about. (The ideas are pretty fully formed, the words are not.)
